Literature is made at the boundary between self and the world, and during the creative act this borderline softens, turns penetrable and allows the world to flow into the artist and the artist to flow into the world.
Salman Rushdie

As part of the Collateral Events of this year's Venice Biennale of Architecture, RCR Arquitectes, as the last year's Pritzker architectural prize laureate, exhibited in the Catalan pavilion. Their exhibition, Dream and Nature, however, is not retrospective in character, nor does it represent a specific structure/project. Instead, in Venice, the authors unveil the hidden, the invisible that stands behind their works known to the public, which precedes and conditions them: they expose their own view of the world. More specifically, their attitude to nature as both life and professional inspiration. They materialise the nature of that relationship with architectural tools. In a broader sense, the Dream and Nature exhibition thematises the inseparable link between the artist and the world in the process of creation.
